Sustainia Living 2017 at the Royal Danish Opera

8th of February 2017, monkeyglasses® were a part of an inspiring event at the Royal Danish Opera House. 1700 guests were attending and even more was watching the show via a global livestream.

monkeyglasses® was chosen to represent a sustainable lifestyle at Sustainia Living 2017, and we are very proud and honoured to be a part of this great initiative. It was an evening, meant to inspire and lead the way on how to be sustainable, and being a part of the solution, rather than the problem, when it comes to building a better future for our planet, our children and the generations to come.

The demand for sustainable solutions and products are rapidly increasing all over the world, and more people are eager to contribute to building a healthier world and finding solutions for the many global challenges to come. At Sustainia Living 2017, a goal number 18 was added to the list of UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The 18th goal is all about engaging the end consumers, and telling them how they can do a difference.

The message monkeyglasses® want to communicate is very clear. According to the organization Global Eyesight Now, 6 out of 10 people need glasses. Imagine the size of this industry, and the difference it would make, if more people were concerned about how, where and with what materials their glasses were made. monkeyglasses© strive to make it easy to take responsibility for the choices you make, and “Look good while doing good”. Luckily, the demand for sustainable products like our glasses is increasing rapidly, and hopefully the 18’Th global goal presented at Sustainia Living last night, will inspire even more people to look for sustainable alternatives when they buy glasses.
